Rotations Per Mile
I figure a city block is 33 rotations on a bike.
That is 33 peddles doing a full rotation.
That is in 12th gear, my normal riding gear at approximately 20 MPH.
So I figure I ride 43 blocks every day to work, then back again.
That is 1,419 rotations each way.
Or 2,838 a day (plus or minus the coasting and downshift or up shift of gears)
If this is a 5 mile route, I can estimate that a mile is 283.8 rotations.
I’ve just passed 10,000 miles on my two bikes.
I estimate that is 2,838,000 rotations.
Isn't this useless information.
