As an old guy who grew up with Playboy and
pin-up girls, I may have heard those words or at least been at fault for the
meaning, but in the world of modern technology these words have a different
purpose. Today conversations are constantly interrupted by another voice or
text or tweet.
Conversation is a form of
interactive, spontaneous communication between two or more people who are
following rules of etiquette. It is polite give and take of subjects’ thought
of by people talking with each other for company. The eye contact and body
mannerisms help convey the intensity and reactions to the words spoken. A good conversation can bring synergy. A
constantly distracted conversation will bring frustration and lack of courtesy.
In this new age of immediate communication
are we so shallow to think we must be in the flow or lose some of our status?
Whatever comment or response is not as important as the person who is facing us.
