Human Trafficking

This phrase keeps coming up in media communication but what does it mean?
“Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. Traffickers might use violence, manipulation, or false promises of well-paying jobs or romantic relationships to lure victims into trafficking situations.” Via Homeland Security
Take a step back from illegal forced migration or devious persuasion to move people from one point to another for whatever means and think about the term ‘human trafficking’.
Daily commuting is human trafficking. People wake up, climb into their motor vehicles and follow each other on pre-planned pave ways to assigned locations. They park in assigned spaces only to reverse the process at the end of the day.
Humans line up in unpleasant weather for hours to give a piece of paper at the door to attend a concert. Successful fire drills require humans to line up and follow one another to an assigned location like lemmings.
The fear of not following directions could become a financial lost or possible imprisonment.
Why we moved away from our birthplace to a colder environment or a crowded destination for reasons ranging from flight of violence to monetary gains, the planet is moving humans around.
As we migrate we follow patterns of those who have gone before. Religious or political parties group new advocates to place in segregated zones.
Unfortunately the uninformed will follow the latest trend. Follow the yellow brick road.
