Capitulate

To capitulate is the action of surrendering or ceasing to resist an opponent or demand.

Capitulation is when investors give up any previous gains in any security or market by selling their positions during periods of declines.

Capitulation can happen at any time, but typically happens during high volume trading and extended declines for securities.

Capitulation can be when you just can fight it any longer.

When we get to the point where there are no obvious diversions to the inevitable, rather than destruct the white flag is raised.

In a battle when the other side has more bullets than you have bodies, it is time.

Whether it is love or faith or depression or whatever, there comes a time to capitulate.
